What Our Customers Say

Urgent Care Clinics

"I just wanted to send you a “thank you”. I have to tell you that I have worked with a lot of support people over the past 12 years and you are amazing! I am so impressed how quickly you are able to resolve a problem and even more impressed that you are able to program something new that we would like to see in the program – while on the phone with us! As you know, we have used Codonix in our urgent cares for almost 7 years now and the staff there has been very happy with your support. Now that we have switched our family practice EMR over to Codonix I, personally, have had more direct contact with you and I am so happy that we made the switch from our other program. The fact that you listen to our concerns and requests is very much appreciated. It is so unlike what we have experienced with our prior program’s support staff who made us feel like we were bothering them for any help that we needed."

Vanessa Pettit, Chief Operating Officer, Comprehensive Family Care
Desert Ridge Urgent Care Centers, LLC

“A traditional client-server type of automation system would have been prohibitively expensive and inflexible. Our group spent considerable time investigating electronic charting options to use at our three ‘Your Doc’s In’ sites but it was difficult to find something that met all of our needs. CodoniXnotes was the only system that met these needs. It was also very important for us to have an application that was web based. This allows continuous customization, such as new ICD 9 codes, by CodoniX, not us. In addition, maintenance of the prior charts resides with CodoniX. We did not want that headache-either with paper or computer. YDI has also become virtually paperless by using the document and image scanning feature included with CodoniXnotes. CodoniXnotes makes it easy to attach electronically scanned images and documents such as EKGs, insurance forms, registration documents and HIPAA disclosure consent forms to the patient chart. A simple mouse click on the patient’s name on the appointment scheduler or tracker board lets the user view the attached documents.”

Geraldine Goertzen MD, Director of “Your Doc’s In”

The new CodoniXnotes system has really made a difference in the way that we manage our clinics and we plan on deploying CodoniXnotes at our other six sites in the coming months. The CodoniX billing module has streamlined our billing process and improved our cash flow.”

Lynne Schenck, VP of Operations Unity Physicians Group

“The EMRs we looked at were not designed for an urgent care environment. After trying out CodoniXnotes using the test drive on its website and then signing up for the no obligation free trial, we quickly found that CodoniXnotes was in fact designed with urgent care workflow in mind. The CodoniXnotes tracker board gives us easy and intuitive administration of patients and their status that everyone in the office can view and the easy to use comprehensive charting functionality allows all procedures and examinations to be fully documented and automatically coded. This combined with the automated CMS audit ensures that our E & M levels are accurately and appropriately calculated for billing.”

“CodoniX made the purchase and use of an EMR extremely easy. Because of their method of delivery, we were able to try the application before implementing it in our three clinics. Once the decision was made to use CodoniX we were able to quickly implement the system at all of our clinics in a short period of time.”

Alicia Tezel,MD, CEO, Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care

“After seeing a demonstration of the CodoniXnotes system it was apparent that whoever designed the application really understood the workflow of an urgent care. The application really does work like we do. I used their 60 day free trial period to give the system a full “work out” before we implemented it. Using the system with no pressure to purchase really allowed us to find out whether the application would do everything we thought it could. Happily, we found that it worked exactly as we expected. After only a few months, the fact that the system allows us to work faster and more efficiently, we have been able to nearly double our patient volume with no increase in staff.

We also use quite a few “moonlighters” to fill in for our full time physicians, and with CodoniX I have a sense of security since I know that the application will prompt our part timers to follow the correct clinical protocols as well as all of the procedures and standards that we have in place.”

Dr. John Gomez MD, owner of Rapid-Med Urgent Care

Hospital Emergency Departments

“Most of the systems we looked at were more complicated to use and outside of our budget. CodoniXnotes is very user friendly and easily fit our budget limitations. CodoniXnotes has improved the overall quality of our record and we have received many compliments from other departments and agencies regarding the look and content of our medical records.”

Michelle Klosterman, Emergency Department Manager Adams County Hospital

“We didn’t have the capital budget or IT infrastructure required for a traditional in house ED application, but we were able to subscribe to the CodoniXnotes application for the same amount of money we were spending on dictation and transcription The CodoniXnotes application is so intuitive that all of our doctors, nurses, and PAs were able to learn how to use the program simply by watching the video demonstrations available on the CodoniX website and then just using the application to chart patients. We were up and running completely electronically within two weeks and within a week saw our E and M levels increase due to better documentation of our visits.”

Ben Tipton PA, member of the Mount Ascutney Hospital implementation team

“A rapid start-up was not entirely unexpected. We looked at several different systems and the reason we chose CodoniX was because our medical staff thought it would be the easiest to install. We were also impressed by the logic it utilized in creating and coding charts and its ability to read physician and nursing notes directly into the documentation. Our coding documentation now supports a higher level of reimbursement than it did before which was an area where we'd been having a lot of problems.”

Doug Stacy, Information Systems Director, Coffeyville Regional Medical Center

“Previously we had previously been spending $200,000 per year for transcription services. We eliminated these costs by installing the CodoniX system. We also previously experienced a minimum of a one-day delay before getting back patient records from the transcription service. With CodoniX, however, we now have immediate access to these records for review and consultation. In addition, by providing the Emergency Department with a solution that frees us from having to manually record information, we can spend more time focusing on the patient, resulting in greater patient satisfaction and improved service.”

Louis Dandurand MD, Northwestern Regional Medical Center

"With the CodoniX system it's easier to track and triage patients, insurance reimbursement has improved, and the physicians are doing less paper work and more patient work,"

William Einig MD, Emergency Dept. Medical Director, Memorial Medical Center

"We had a handwritten system, and it was truly a nightmare. It was very time-consuming and prone to error. For example, the physicians' discharge instructions had to be painstakingly rewritten by the nurses. And with prescriptions, we'd get calls from pharmacists saying, 'I can't read this.' Plus it was very difficult to stay current. I remember going home with towering stacks of charts to work on."

Darren Lisse ED Department Chairman Reston Hospital Center

Before CodoniX, we had a paper system that wasn't standardized - and sometimes not even readable. Chart retrieval was a real problem, and occasionally we lost charts entirely. And we weren't staying current with CMSrequirements. CodoniX has made a huge difference, both from a financial and regulatory perspective.
